Kumarghat, Tripura, 5th of June, 2025 : With the initiative of State Government of Tripura inauguration and laying the foundation stone ceremony for multiple development projects organized at Geetanjali Auditorium, Kumarghat under Unakoti district in Tripura on Thursday (5th June, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha laid the foundation stone and virtual inaugurated 15 multiple development projects today.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that terrorism is the enemy of humanity. Our goal is to eradicate terrorism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given this message through Operation Sindoor. Through this operation, 9 terrorist bases have been destroyed. The Prime Minister said that terror and trade cannot go together. Terrorism cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. That is what has been announced. The foundation stone of the new building of Kumarghat Sub-divisional Magistrate’s Office, infrastructure development of Betcharra Class XII School, two multipurpose centers at Sadhu Chandra Para and Sheba Chandra Para under Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM JANMAN) and a Fire Service center at Pecharthal were also inaugurated. In addition, the new building of the Primary Health Center at Pecharthal, additional classrooms at Shantipur High School, Newly constructed building of 4 new sub-health centers at Sonaichari , Sayedabari, Betcharra and Deo Valley in Kumarghat Subdivision, new RCC, foot bridge at Ratiyabari, new building of Makucharra Tehsil Kachari, additional classrooms at Uttar Purba Kanchanbari Higher Secondary School and science lab and art and craft rooms of Dudhpur High School were inaugurated. The Rural Development Department is responsible for the construction of these projects. Through this, Kumarghat Subdivision has taken a step forward towards building a developed Tripura.

On the occasion of Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and guests planted saplings in the premises of Geetanjali Auditorium. In her inaugural speech, the Chief Minister said that trees are very valuable to us. The government is making arrangements to keep the environment beautiful and clean. The Chief Minister said that last year, 5 lakh trees were planted in five minutes across the State under the initiative of the Forest Department. He said, if there are no trees, how will oxygen come? Similarly, people donate blood to each other out of this feeling.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that keeping in mind the lower class of the society, the Central and State Governments have undertaken various people-oriented schemes. Many people have no idea how to avail the benefits of these schemes. The Chief Minister said that from January to May this year, the foundation stone of infrastructure development worth 578 crore rupees has been laid and inaugurated in the State. Various initiatives have been taken to make people self-reliant. Now there are about 56 thousand self-help groups in the State. The Government has given 700 crore in revolving fund to these self-help groups so far. This development work will continue in the interest of the people in the future. He said that during the current Government, more than 19 thousand Government jobs have been given. In addition, more than 5 thousand more have been appointed through outsourcing. On the one hand, Government jobs and on the other hand, the Government is working to make people financially self-reliant.
