Dharmanagar, 16th of August, 2026 : Allegations have surfaced against Pratibha Fertilizer, located in the Mahesh Smriti Road area of Dharmanagar, for allegedly selling fertilizers and agricultural inputs without a valid license. A written complaint has been submitted to the Deputy Director of the Agriculture Department in North Tripura, seeking an investigation into the matter and appropriate action.According to the complaint, submitted on August 5, allegations have been made against M/s Pratibha Fertilizer & Agro Chemicals. It has been alleged that the establishment is selling various types of fertilizers, including urea, from its premises at Mahesh Smriti Road in Dharmanagar market without valid PPC and retail and wholesale fertilizer sale licenses.

The complainant has requested the concerned department to verify whether the establishment possesses the necessary approvals and valid licenses required for the sale of agricultural inputs. The complaint also seeks action as per the rules if the allegation of conducting business without a license is found to be true.However, the allegations are yet to be investigated. Whether the establishment has valid licenses and the extent to which the allegations are true will become clear only after the Agriculture Department completes its investigation. The farming community is now awaiting the administration’s next course of action.
