The conclusion programme of West Tripura District Level Fair and Exhibition organised on the occasion of 75 Seemanta Gram Kanti Viro Ke Naam was held at Purbasha premises, Agartala on Thursday (10th August, 2023). Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury attended the programme.

“The country comes first to the present central and state governments. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Azadi Ka Amrita Mohotsav across the country with this idea in mind,” Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury said at the conclusion programme of West Tripura District Level Fair and Exhibition. The Tourism Minister also added that on the occasion of the end of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Meri Maati Mera Desh and 75 Seemanta Gram Kanti Viro Ke Naam program is also being celebrated in our state. All these programs are being carried out to unite the people in the spirit of the state. He said that the main objective of the 75 Seemanta Gram Kanti Viro Ke Naam program is to pay tribute to those who have sacrificed their lives to protect the motherland and the country’s sovereignty. The integrity of the country is protected only by brave soldiers in the border areas.

Director of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Bimbisar Bhattacharjee delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. In the concluding ceremony, 5 Gram panchayats were awarded in music, 5 Gram panchayats in dance and 2 Gram panchayats in drama. Debapriya Bardhan, District Magistrate of West Tripura District, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Manika Das Datta and many other dignitaries were present in the conclusion programme of West Tripura District Level Fair and Exhibition.
