CPI(M) Convention Held In Kalachhara In Support Of The February 12 Strike.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 1st of February, 2026 : In support of the nationwide strike scheduled for February 12, a convention was organized by the CPI(M) Kalachhara Area Committee on Sunday at 12 noon at the CPI(M) Kalachhara Area Office. The presidium included Sabitri Das and Ataur Rahman.

Addressing the convention were CPI(M) North Tripura District Secretary Abhijit Dey and Kalachhara Area Secretary Joynal Uddin. Leaders and activists from various workers’ and farmers’ organizations of the area were present at the meeting. Explaining the significance of the strike, Abhijit Dey said that the protest is centered on the demand for the withdrawal of anti-worker labour codes and the revival of MGNREGA. He also highlighted the importance of the strike in opposing policies that are against the interests of farmers and called upon everyone to participate actively. Addressing on the occasion, Joynal Uddin urged all workers and farmers to unite and assured that every effort would be made to ensure the success of this nationwide programme.At the end of the convention, participants reiterated their resolve to make the February 12 strike a success.
