CPI(M) Holds Protest Rally In Dharmanagar Over 11-Point Charter Of Demands.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 22nd of July 2026 : The Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPI(M) organized a protest rally in Dharmanagar town, demanding solutions to several pressing public issues On Wednesday, (22nd July, 2026).The demonstration focused on an 11-point charter of demands, including the immediate repair of dilapidated roads in the municipal area, ensuring uninterrupted drinking water supply, and improving healthcare services at the District Hospital.

The party also demanded guaranteed 75 days of TUEP employment for BPL families living in urban areas, measures to curb the steep rise in electricity tariffs, and an end to the alleged harassment faced by citizens while obtaining essential documents at the Dharmanagar SDM Office.The protest was also aimed at opposing what the party described as the anti-people policies of both the Central and State Governments, while calling for the restoration of the rule of law in the state.The rally began from the CPI(M) Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional office, marched through the town’s main roads, and concluded at the party office.

Among those present were CPI(M) State Secretariat member Amitabha Dutta, North Tripura District Secretary Abhijit De, Dharmanagar Sub -Divisional Secretary Ratan Roy, former Minister Bijita Nath, MLA Shailendra Chandra Nath, State Committee member Durgesh Roy, along with a large number of party leaders, workers, and supporters.
