Agartala, Tripura, 18th of January, 2026 : CPI(M) rally was held in Mandwi under the leadership of Radhacharan Debbarma, demanding the inclusion of the Kokborok language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution and the withdrawal of the CAA, along with several other demands.

A protest rally was organized in Mandwi by the CPI(M) Jirania Sub-Divisional Committee, raising various demands including the Kokborok language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, withdrawal of the CAA, not repealing the MGNREGA Act, and filling up all vacant posts in the ADC. The rally was led by former Chief Executive Member of the ADC and GMP State Secretary Radhacharan Debbarma, along with local leaders.
Interacted with media Radhacharan Debbarma explained the demands in detail. He said that the Kokborok language must be included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, the CAA must be withdrawn, and all vacant posts in the ADC must be filled. He also elaborated on the various demands raised through their rally.
