Khowai, Tripura, 19th of April 2026 : Cultural event organized “Boishakhi Sandhya – Kobitar Name” at Khowai District Library on Sunday (19th April, 2026).
Among those present as guests were Piyush Kanti Chowdhury, Abhijit Datta Bhowmik, and others. The programme was presided over by veteran teacher Umesh Das.
During the programme, amidst poetry recitations and songs, tribute was paid to legendary singer Asha Bhosle by offering floral respects to her portrait. Artist Debadrita Bhattacharjee performed songs in her memory.
The event, organized to welcome the Bengali New Year, saw notable participation from poets. However, minor disruptions caused by sound system issues created slight inconvenience. Overall, the audience enjoyed this unique programme.
