The Central Young Kaipeng Association (CYKA) has organized The 13th State Level Sakungphai Festival Cum General Conference 2023 of Young Kaipeng Association at Lokhidon village under Ampinagar block in Gomati Tripura. On this auspicious occasion Kaipeng community people from all over state have assembled here in the programme venue with great enthusiasm and excitement. All of the 18 branches of the Kaipeng community have taken part in this grand festival and given their one year of all activities assessments. As per the report, the Sakungphai Festival is a platform where the whole Kaipeng community people from different part of the country come to celebrate once in a year. Through this yearly festival all come closed and communal relation and fraternity accelerated amongst themselves. It is a post harvest festival which is practised since long back and will be followed in future too with care and dignity. A large number of Kaipeng dignitaries have taken participation in the programme.
The Central Executive Committee Members had a grand discussion over different issues related to their community amidst the YKA branches. As per the community, this year 2023, the General Election was held where advocate Pu. Laldomthanga Kaipeng and Pu. Martin Kaipeng have unitely led the General Election as the Election Commissioners. The organizer has arranged mass cultural dance competition where indigenous Kaipeng traditional cultural segments have beautified the programme. Among the distinguished participants who took part in this festival were Hon’ble Sadagar Kalai, (MDC 41 ST Ampi Constituency), Pu. Vanlalmoi Kaipeng (CYKA President), Pu. Lalzirmei Kaipeng (V. President), Pu. Lalsandam Kaipeng (CYKA GS), Pu. Brazina Kaipeng (CYKA A.GS), Pu. Neizirsiak Kaipeng (CYKA Treasurer), Pu. Lalsandam Kaipeng (CYKA Financial Secretary), Tv. Awmnisiek Kaipeng (President KRP), NI. Sr. Rose Mary Kaipeng, Hon’ble Pu. Lopuilal Kaipeng (Kaipeng Rai), Pu. Purjolal Kaipeng (Khua Lal), Pu. Sandhamnaran Kaipeng (President, Jampuijala Sub HQ), and Pu. David Murasing (Social activist) and many others.
The Third Day Session began by business session. It was followed by Indigenous games and sports of the Kaipeng Community and then the general election result of CYKA was declared by the election commissioners. Ajoy Kumar Kaipeng, Treasurer: Tv. Amrit Kaipeng, Financial Secretary: Pu. Dhana Charan Kaipeng. Next Year 2024 The State Level Sakungphai Festival Cum General Conference of Young Kaipeng Association 2024 will be held at Sontang Khua under Gomati Tripura. The State Level Sakungphai Festival Cum General Conference of Young Kaipeng Association – 2023 closing ceremony was attended by hon’ble Sindhu Charan Jamatia (MLA 41 ST Ampi Constituency). Hon’ble MLA Sindhu Chandra Jamatia has shared the importance of youth in the community in today’s society. He also promised to give a token of love of Rs.10,000 Cheque and One computer set. The total registered delegates in this grand festival was more than 3000.
