Preparations Intensify For ADC Village Committee Elections; Polling Personnel And Materials Reach Booths.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 27th of September, 2026 : Administrative preparations are almost complete in the Jubarajnagar and Kalachhara blocks of North Tripura ahead of the ADC Village Committee elections scheduled to be held September 28. The concerned administration has made all necessary arrangements to ensure that voters can exercise their franchise without any difficulty.In the Jubarajnagar block, a total of 3,969 voters across three ADC villages will exercise their voting rights in this election.

As many as 69 candidates are contesting. For polling, 12 polling booths under eight polling stations have been prepared.According to administrative sources, polling personnel and all necessary election materials have already reached each polling booth. Necessary facilities have also been ensured for polling personnel and voters. The administration has maintained special surveillance to ensure that the election is conducted freely, peacefully and fairly.The situation in the concerned areas remains peaceful and orderly so far.

Jubarajnagar Returning Officer Prosenjit Malakar expressed hope that the peaceful atmosphere maintained in the days leading up to the election would continue on polling day as well. He also expressed confidence that voters would participate enthusiastically in exercising their democratic rights and that the polling process would be completed without any disruption.Meanwhile, preparations have also been completed for the election in one ADC village under the Kalachhara block. A total of three polling booths under two polling stations have been set up there. The village has 1,157 voters, while 25 candidates are contesting the election.In the presence of Returning Officer Sumit Kumar Das, polling personnel and necessary election materials were delivered to the two polling stations in Kalachhara on Sunday.

The necessary arrangements at the polling stations were also reviewed to ensure that voting could be conducted smoothly.The administration has stated that the situation in the Kalachhara area also remains peaceful ahead of the election.Overall, administrative preparations in both blocks have reached the final stage ahead of the ADC Village Committee elections on September 28. Ensuring that voters can cast their votes in a safe and transparent environment remains the administration’s primary objective.
