Education Department Government Of Tripura Observes State Level 63rd  Teachers’ Day.

Agartala, Tripura, 5th of September, 2024 : With the initiative of Education department Government of Tripura State Level 63rd Teachers’ Day celebration has been conducted in Town Hall, Agartala on Thursday (5th September, 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Industries & Commerce, Jail (Home), OBC Welfare Minister Santana Chakma inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. In the greeting message, the Chief Minister congratulated all the teachers of the state, with sincere respect and saying that the teachers are the craftsmen of building a fair society and people. Teachers play an important role in providing good education to students.

On this auspicious occasion a large number of school teachers, students, dignitaries have assembled in the programme venue and observed the 63rd birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan with due respect and dignity. Artists performed their traditional cultural programs likes dance, song etc. to beautify the ceremony. Hon’ble Industries & Commerce, Jail (Home), OBC Welfare Minister Santana Chakma and present guests paid floral tributes to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birth Anniversary.

Addressing the Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s 63rd Teachers’ Day celebration ceremony, Hon’ble Industries & Commerce, Jail (Home), OBC Welfare Minister Santana Chakma said that a teacher has to fulfill many difficult and serious responsibilities. A person cannot shape his life without an ideal teacher. In the event, Industries & Commerce, Minister Santana Chakma said Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan respect and honor that the teaching society orward by following the life and ideals of a great person. Ravel Hemendra Kumar, Special Secretary of the Department of Education, spoke on the occasion explaining the significance of Teacher’s Day.

Distinguished academician Pandit Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar honor to Dr. Harekrishna Acharya, Maharani Tulsibati ​​honor to Social Activist Dipak Bhattacharya and Educationist Bandana Chowdhury Barman awarded to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee honor 2024. In addition, 34 teachers of the State were awarded Teacher Samana 2024. The award was presented to them by the Minister of Industry and Commerce and other guests at the ceremony.

14 schools in the State were also awarded best schools in the function to celebrate the state-wise Teachers’ Day-2024. 8 schools were given district wise best award for achieving Mission 555. Mission 555 programme created green forestry. Among the awarded schools are Sammilita High School in West Tripura district, Khumpuilwng High School in Gomti district, Harisadhan RP High School in South Tripura district, Ratanpur High School in Sepahijala district,  Baruakandi Colony Class XII school in North Tripura district, North Nanichara High School in Dhalai district, Asharambari  High School in Khowai district and Dudhpur High school  in Unakoti district.

Industries & Commerce, Jail (Home), OBC Welfare Minister Santana Chakma and other guests unveiled the official cover of the “Shiksha Samachar” commemorative released on the occasion of Teacher’s Day 2024 celebration. Director of Kokborok and Other Minority Languages ​​Department Ratnajit Debbarma, Director of Higher Education Department Animesh Debbarma, Director of School Education Department NC Sharma and many other dignitaries were present in the celebration ceremony.
