Dharmanagar, Tripura, 27th of August, 2026 : Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, commemorating the birth and life of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and his noble teachings, was observed with due religious fervour on Wednesday (26th August, 2026).
Across the country, including various parts of Tripura, the occasion was marked by processions, peace rallies, bike rallies and religious gatherings. In several areas of North Tripura, the day witnessed considerable enthusiasm among the people.In Dharmanagar town, a grand Joshne Julus was organised to mark Eid-e- Milad-un-Nabi. A large number of devotees participated in the procession, which passed through several roads and important areas of the town. The participants expressed their religious devotion and festive spirit.

The administration also made necessary arrangements for security and traffic management during the procession.Through the Joshne Julus, the organisers called upon people to uphold the ideals of peace, humanity, brotherhood, tolerance and communal harmony taught by Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). Messages of patriotism, respect for India’s sovereignty, democracy, secularism and the Constitution were also highlighted.The colourful procession concluded peacefully with an appeal for peace, harmony and brotherhood. According to the organisers, the core message of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is to further strengthen the bonds of love, compassion and unity among people.
