Election Commission of India has ordered Inquiry into the incident of Political Violence in Jirania reported on 18th Jan and other 54 incidents of violence allegedly happened in recent past against the leaders and workers of Indian National Congress and Communist Party of India (M) in Tripura. The Election Commission of India has asked Chief Electoral Officer, Tripura to obtain report from DGP Tripura through Chief Secretary, Tripura and submit report by 3 pm on 20.01.2023.
