Evaluation Camp Of Traditional Healers Organized.

With the initiative of NTFP Centre of Excellence of forest department an evaluation camp over traditional healer has been conducted here in Prakreti Bhawan in Gandhigram, Agartala. As per the report, on this occasion of evaluation camp total 12 renowned traditional healers have been selected from South, North, Unkoti as well as Dhalai District of Tripura to take active participation in the programme. Under the able guidance and supervision of the NTFP Center of Excellence (NCE) of Forest Department this special camp was organized in collaboration with Christian University (NECU) Nagaland and under the patronization of QCI, Government of India.

In the said camp, experts from NECU observed the skills and experience of 12 Kavirajs from different districts of Tripura and from tomorrow they will visit and observe the homes of those who are providing good medical services in traditional healer sector. This process will continue till 7th July 2023. Dr. Wangdhoop Bhutia Chief Executive Officer Medicinal Plant Board of Tripura and Sri Pravin L Agarwal Director NTFP Center of Excellence were present at the auspicious start of this great event today. Finally those who pass this assessment will be awarded certificates by NECU. This is a great initiative of the forest department of the present government to encourage more and more continuous work of the ayurvedic practitioners of the state through the conservation of Tripura’s herbal medicine and its application in traditional medicine. Already in the last few months, a total of 7 (seven) district-based traditional medicine camps have been completed under the initiative of NCE in various districts of Tripura and free medical services have been provided to more than 500 (five hundred) patients. A huge response is being noticed among people across the state regarding this traditional treatment. The people of the state have appreciated the initiative of the authority and thanked them for their better circulation over traditional healer sector.
