Felicitation Ceremony Of Top-10  Rank Holder Students Of Madhyamik And Higher Secondary Exam (TBSE & Vidyajyoti Schools).

Agartala, Tripura, 18th of June, 2025 : With the initiative of Education (SchoolDepartmentGovernment of Tripura Felicitation Ceremony of Top-10  Rank Holder Students of Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Exam (TBSE & Vidyajyoti Schools) at  International Fair Ground, Hapania, Agartala, Tripura on Wednesday (18th January, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the Felicitation Ceremony of Top-10  Rank Holder Students of Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Exam (TBSE & Vidyajyoti Schools)  Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that in addition to providing quality education to students in the State, the State Government has given special importance to the digital education system. In this regard, emphasis has been placed on the artificial intelligence (AI) system. Currently, the necessary educational infrastructure, including various technical educational institutions, has been developed in the state to take advantage of various opportunities for higher education. A total of 82 students were honored in this ceremony organized by the School Education Department.The Chief Minister congratulated all the students who received the award. He said that those who did not achieve the expected results in this examination should not see it as a failure but should overcome that failure through hard work and effort in the future and move forward in life. Because the key to success lies in failure.

The Chief Minister said that there is a lot of potential among the students of the state. They are not inferior in knowledge and talent. Along with studies, students should also focus on shaping their own lifestyle. They should also engage themselves in sports and socially constructive activities. Textbook education alone cannot be the main foundation of life. Emphasis should also be placed on dedicating oneself to the welfare of the country and society, moving away from the mentality of self-centeredness. He also mentioned the responsible role of everyone in keeping students away from drug addiction. The Chief Minister said that there is no end to education. The more one studies, the more knowledge he will gain. The Chief Minister expressed the opinion that self-confidence will also be built in him.

Highlighting the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Saha remarked  that the total pass in the 2025 Madhyamik examination is 86.53 percent. 345 schools have passed 100 percent of the examinees. The total pass rate in the higher secondary examination is 79.29 percent. 39 schools have passed 100 percent of the examinees. The pass rate in the Madhyamik of Vidyajyoti Schools is 86 percent, which is 26 percent more than last year. The number of Vidyajyoti Schools that have achieved 100 percent success is 15, which was 1 school last year. The pass rate in the higher Higher Secondary  examination of Vidyajyoti schools is 71 percent, which is 21 percent more than last year. The number of 100 percent successful Vidyajyoti schools is 5. Which was in the zero quota last year.  

At the event, the Chief Minister said that various steps have been taken to promote quality education in the state, including the introduction of NCERT curriculum, conversion to English medium schools, Super-30 project, Chief Minister’s Merit Award, Talent Search Examination, Vidya Jyoti project, free workbook distribution under the Prayas project, free bicycles for class 9 girls, radical reform of TBSE examination, smart classes, ICT labs and tinkering labs, Mission Makul, etc. The Prime Minister has started the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ program to reduce the pressure of students regarding exams.

The Chief Minister also added that in the state, various infrastructure renovations have been carried out in 346 schools, including the construction of new buildings in 44 schools in 2024-25. There are plans to build new buildings in 30 schools and carry out infrastructural development and renovations in 123 schools in the financial year 2025-26. Chief Minister’s Special Scholarship has been launched for Divyang students to pursue higher education. So far, 10 people have been provided financial assistance under the target project. IIIT, National Forensic Science University have been launched in Agartala and a drone center has been set up in TI.

Special Secretary of the Education Department, Ravel Hemendra Kumar, delivered the welcome speech at the event. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there  Director of the School Education Department, N. C. Sharma, was also present. The first, second and third position holders in the Madhyamik and higher secondary examinations were honored with tablets and certificates at the event. The Chief Minister handed over the awards to the meritorious students.
