Financial Assistance To The Affected Families Due To Recent Incidents In Gonda Twisa: Normalcy Being Resorted.

Agartala, 17th of July, 2024 : With respect to recent unfortunate incident in Gonda Twisa the State Government has sanctioned financial assistance for affected persons. A sum of Rs. 6 Lakhs has been sanctioned in favour of Kharagaram Reang, father of deceased Parameswar Reang. Besides, State Government has also sanctioned Rs 1 Cr and 54 Lakhs for making financial assistance to 165 affected families. Already financial assistance at the rate of Rs.25,000/- is being extended to each of them as interim relief. Detailed assessment of the affected houses, shops and other properties are being carried out and soon after the completion of assessment the balance financial assistance will be made shortly.

The families who took shelter in the relief camp are being regularly assisted and for regular health checkup Medical camp opened there. Today the District Magistrate & Collector of Dhalai District along with Superintendent of Police visited the Gonda Twisa area. From the District Administration, Dhalai it has been informed that the Shops, markets are opened and the normalcy is being restored.
