Gambling Event Going On In The Fair.

Gambling event is going on in the name of Ananda Mela (Fair). According to the details of the incident, it is known that the Ananda Mela event was held at the initiative of some local clubs in the area adjacent to Ramnagar Janata College under the Panisagar sub-division. Gambling is continuing to the fair, people of the area have been complaining about this for the past few days to the local media. To confirm the truth of this, it was caught on camera by the journalists when they went to the fair yesterday. BJP North District Secretary Pradip Nath and members of the clubs tried to attack the journalists. They tried to take away the journalists cameras in hand. Pillars of democracy were abused in unspeakable language. Threats were also shown. For a while, the fair grounds were invaded by crazy drunkards.

The situation was alarming and after being informed police authority of Panisagar police. Even when the police arrived, the assailants threatened the journalists in front of the police. It is very regrettable that even though the journalists were attacked, Ramnagar Gram Panchayat chief Tapas Das, who was present at the fair premises, did not extend his hand to help the news workers but claimed that there was no tide event in the fair. In this regard, the people of the area are demanding the intervention of Panisagar Sub-division Police Officer and District Superintendent of Police. Otherwise, any untoward incident will soon happen in the name of the fair.
