General Meeting Of All Tripura Chess Association.

With the initiative of All Tripura Chess Association organized general meeting on Sunday (5th November, 2023). All Tripura Chess Association’s Executive Committee members and Districts members were present in the meeting. Patron of All Tripura Chess Association, MLA Ratan Chakraborty and Director of Sports and Youth Affairs of Tripura State S.B Nath were also present in the meeting.

Next year the North Eastern Chess Championship will be held in the State of Tripura. Vice President of Asian Chess Federation Bharat Singh Chauhan will be present at the annual prize distribution ceremony at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala on December 10, 2023.  Patron of All Tripura Chess Association MLA Ratan Chakraborty will also be present.

The World Youth Chess Championship is going to be held in Italy, Europe from 12th to 25th November and General Secretary of Tripura State Chess Association Dipak Saha has been appointed as the manager and he was felicitated in this meeting. First person from the State of Tripura to receive this honour.

Tripura State Association President Prashant Kundu was elected as the Vice-President of North Eastern Forum this year. He was also felicitated.

Arshiya Das became the first woman player from the North Eastern state to win the WCM title. Arshiya Das  won the WCM title after a long period of time after Prasenjit Datta won the master title on FIDE. Also felicitated to Aradhya Das who third in National School Chess this year.
