GMP & TYF “Raj Bhawan Abhiyan” With Demands.

Tripura Rajya Upajati Ganamukti Parishad (GMP) and Tribal Youth Federation (TYF) has organized Raj Bhawan Abhiyan with the demands in Agartala on Saturday (11th June, 2022). Former Chief Minister of Tripura, Member of Politburo, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and present opposition leader Manik Sarkar, Tripura State Committee Secretary Jitendra Chaudhury and other leaders were present at the rally. These demands are :

  1. For further, empowering the TTA-ADC, both administerial and financial immediately pass “The 125″ Constitution Amendment Bill” lying pending with the Parliament for the years together.
  2. KOK-BOROK, which is the mother tongue of the majority tribal people of the State must be included in the 8″ schedule of the Constitution. Necessary steps must be taken to develop languages of other communities like Chakma, Mog and Halam etc.
  3. CAA which is designed to provoke division of the Indian Citizens on religious line and in tune with the spirit of our Constitution must be revoked immediately.
  4. The Village Committee election under TTA-ADC is pending for more than a year. This election must be conducted forthwith.
  5. The vacant post in various Government Departments must not be abolished. All the vacant posts must be filled up soon maintaining cent percent reservation roster for SC and ST communities along with the back log. Enact a bill immediately providing SC, ST reservation in recruitment in the private sector.
  6. Ensure 200 man-days work for each MG-NREGA worker and enhance wage to Rs. 600/- per day.
  7. A special drive may be undertaken by the Government to ensure development of roads, regular supply of safe drinking water, un-interrupted supply of power and maintenance of the irrigation projects including in the TTA-ADC areas.
  8. The 10,323 retrenched teachers may be reinstated in the Government Departments on humanitarian ground.
  9. The cases of de-listed social pensioners must be reviewed and those having no valid ground for delisting, must be enlisted for pension again with arrears.
  10. The separate Land Allotment Committee for the TTA-ADC areas and the earlier procedure for obtaining consent from the TTA-ADC in any allotment proposal must be restored forthwith.
  11. Initiate appropriate political and administrative measures to restore rule of law in the State, which is totally missing during last 51 months of BJP-IPFT rule.
