Agartala, Tripura, 5th of July, 2025 : : With the initiative of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) organized return of the Rath Yatra at Purbasha, Agartala, Tripura on Saturday 5th July, 2025).
The Ratha Yatra, also known as the Chariot Celebration of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Balabhadra, is the most prominent Hindu festival. On this auspicious occasion, in the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu Inaugurated the Return of the Rath Yatra of ISKCON.
The grand Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra concludes with their return journey also known as Ulta Rath Yatra, known as Bahuda Yatra, from the Gundicha Temple to their main abode at Srimandir.
Address at the auspicious occasion of the Return of the Rath Yatra festival Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu said that Children must be raised with care and discipline. They must be taught the importance of religion. It is very important to teach children self-discipline and self-control.
The welcome address was delivered by Vice President of ISKCON Temple Sridham Gobinda das at the return of the Rath Yatra festival today.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participated there were Hon’ble MP And Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, MDC of TTAADC Prodyut Manikya Kishore Deb Barma, Former MLA Dilip Das, West Tripura Zilla Saha-Sabhadipati Biswajit Shil, Social Activist Papia Datta and many others distinguished dignitaries were participated in the event. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Regional Secretary of ISKCON Tripura Bhaktibijay Bhagwat Swami.
