Agartala, Tripura, 26th of July 2026 : To mark the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas, Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu paid his respect to the martyrs of the armed forces by laying a wreath at the Albert Ekka War Memorial at Lichubagan, Agartala, Tripura on Sunday (26th July, 2026. This tribute paying ceremony was organized by the Indian Army. Floral tribute was paid to the brave soldiers who laid their lives in the Kargil War for the sovereignty of the nation.

On this day the Governor felicitated the families of the martyrs also for their (widows of martyrs) courage, firmness and sacrifice. Speaking to the media persons Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu said, “We have gathered here to pay respect and honour to the brave soldiers who made the biggest sacrifice in the Kargil War”. The programme was also attended by top officials of the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, BSF, CRPF, DM (West), SP (West), ex-servicemen and other dignitaries.
