Agartala, Tripura, 10th of October, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Friday (10th October, 2025). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested Two (2) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and  seized a total of 5.840 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja). They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.

According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala, at about 3 PM we managed to caught two person namely 1) Ajoy kumar Paswan (25) S/O-Kapil Deb Paswan of English Lagar Word- 12 PO- parbatta PS- Parbatta, Dist- Khagaria Bihar  and 2) Renu Paswan (22) W/O- Ajoy Kumar Paswan of English Lagar Word- 12 PO- Parbatta PS- Parbatta Dist- Khagaria Bihar.  During their search we recovered two pitthu bags respectively from their possession which containing total 5.840 Kg purported to be contraband Ganja. The value of this Ganja is Rs- 1 Lakh approx in black market. GRP & RPF arrested them from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the contraband Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP098, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against them.
