Agartala, Tripura, 10th of October, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Friday (10th October, 2025) evening. According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested Two (2) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized a total of 8.805 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja).They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.
According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala, at about 6 PM arrested two person namely 1) Guddu Kumar (20 ) S/O- Sri Manoj Mandal of Tintanga Diyara South, Jhallu Das Tola, PS- Rangara Chok Dist.- Bhagalpur, State- Bihar and 2) Miss. Beby Kumari (24), D/O- Sri Bahadur Mandal of Tinghoria, PS- Kursela, Dist.-Katihar, State- Bihar. During their search GRP & RPF recovered two pitthu bags respectively from their possession which containing total 8.805 Kg purported to be contraband Ganja. The value of this Ganja is Rs- 2 Lakh approx in black market. GRP & RPF arrested them from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the contraband Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP099, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against them.
