Sonamura, Tripura, 10th of October, 2025 : It is initially believed that one Noor Islam, S/O- Kala Miah, resident of West Durlabh Narayan under Sonamura Police Station, Sepahijala district, Tripura, committed suicide by hanging himself in a rubber plantation in Bardowal Munshi Mura, Ward No.1, sometime in the early hours of this morning.
A case of unnatural death has been registered at Sonamura Police Station and investigation is underway. Postmortem of the deceased has been conducted at Sonamura Hospital. After the postmortem, the deceased has been handed over to his family.
Noor Islam attack his wife Husnehara Begum and his daughter-in-law Salma Akhter to death with a sharp object at their own residence due to a family dispute at Ward No. 3, Amli Mura, West Durlabh Narayan under Sonamura Police Station, Sepahijala district, Tripura on Thursday (9th October, 2025).
Afterwards the locals immediately informed the fire brigade personnel over this occurrence. The fire service personnel, on the spot, picked up in bloody condition and brought him to Melaghar Hospital, the doctor on duty referred to GB Hospital, Agartala for better treatment.
However, Noor Islam fled through the forest after the incident. A case was registered against him at Sonamura Police Station.
