GRP & RPF Of Agartala Seizes Cannabis, Arrested Three Drug Peddlers In Agartala Railway Station.

Agartala, Tripura, 16th of September, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Tuesday (16th September, 2025). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested three (3) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station, and seized a total of 22.390 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja). They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.

According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala, at about 5 PM to caught three persons namely 1) Nazir Miah (23 ) S/O Ahammed Ali of Madhya Charipara, A.D Nagar, Ps- Amtali , West Tripura, 2) Mobarak Miah (25) S/O Chiddik Miah of Madhya Charipara, A.D Nagar Ps- Amtali, West Tripura and 3) Riyas Hossain (18) S/O Sahajan of Kamal Nagar, Ps- Sonamura, Sepahijala Tripura. During their search GRP & RPF recovered three pitthu bag from their possession which containing total 22.390 Kg contraband Ganja. The value of this Ganja is Rs-4 Lakh approx in black market. Accordingly detained them from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP092, U/S-20(b)(ii)(C)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against them.
