Hindu Group Protest Rally In Sabroom Against ISKCON Monk Chinmoy Krishna Das Arrest In Bangladesh.

Sabroom,Tripura, 29th of November, 2024 : With the initiative of Civil rights organizations and Hindu groups protest rally in Sabroom against the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) monk Chinmoy Krishna Das arrest in Bangladesh.

On November 25, the Dhaka Police Intelligence Branch arrested Chinmoy Krishna Das from Shahjalal International Airport  in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka. He was charged with sedition on the basis of the allegation of hoisting the saffron flag over the national flag of Bangladesh. The next day, on November 26, when he was produced before the Chittagong Sixth Metropolitan Magistrate Court, the court rejected Chinmoy Krishna Das’ bail application and ordered him to be sent to prison.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs also expressed strong reactions to this. Various Hindu organizations in neighboring India are also organizing protest program demanding an end to the violence against the minorities Hindus in Bangladesh and the unconditional release of Hindu religious leader Chinmoy Krishna Das. As part of this, a protest march was organized by Hindu civil society in Sabroom city on Friday evening. The leaders present at this protest march demanded stop the violence against the minorities in Bangladesh and the unconditional release of Chinmoy Krishna Das.
