Guwahati, Agartala, Tripura, 29th of November, 2024 : With the initiative of The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is celebrating its 90th year with the RBI90Quiz, a nationwide quiz competition for undergraduate students.
As part of this, state level winners from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nizamabad, Manipur, Nagaland and Tripura enthusiastically participated in the North East regional round held in Guwahati today. The third zonal round of RBI 90 Quiz was held at Hotel Radisson Blu in Guwahati. In the North East zonal round, Shreya Modak and Shubhjit Chakraborty, students of Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya (NSM) in Gomati district, Tripura, have formed a team.As a result, they have confirmed their participation in the national round of the RBI90 Quiz to be held in Mumbai on December 6, 2024. They will compete against other regional winners at the national event in Mumbai.
In the North East Regional Tournament, teams from NIT Silchar, Assam and NIT Shillong, Meghalaya secured second and third positions respectively. The top three winning teams were awarded cash prizes, ₹5 lakh, ₹4 lakh and ₹3 lakh respectively.
Addressing at the event in Guwahati, Executive Director (ED) of The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said that the objective of RBI 90 Quiz is to encourage students to understand the important role of RBI in shaping the financial system, as it celebrates its 90th anniversary. Stressing on the importance of financial literacy, he said that a financially aware youth can have a significant impact in promoting financial awareness among others.
The national finals will be held in Mumbai in December 6, 2024.
