In the presence of dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has inaugurated the newly set up Rubber Thread Plant by DS Group at Bodhjungnagar Industrial Growth Centre, Agartala on Wednesday (19th April, 2023).
“Commercialization of the rubber industry in the state is one of the priority areas of the present Government. After the establishment of the BJP-IPFT Government in the State, new factories are being established. It creates employment and income opportunities”, said Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha at the inaugural ceremony of the newly set up Rubber Thread Plant. The Chief Minister said that as a result of setting up such an industrial factory, employment opportunities are being created for the local people and the industrialists are also benefiting financially. The Chief Minister also added the 21 crore rupees have been spent on setting up this factory. This rubber thread will mainly be exported to Bangladesh. The Chief Minister appealed to the industrialists present on the occasion to set up more factories in the state.
Kiran Chandra Jena, Senior Manager of DS Group delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Former Speaker and MLA Ratan Chakraborty, TIDC Chairman Nabadal Banik, Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh Arif Mohammad and many other dignitaries remained present in the inauguration ceremony.
