Agartala, 25th of May, 2024 : Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha unveiled the Statue of Kazi Nazrul Islam under the initiative of Bharata–Bangladesh Maitri Sangsad at Renters Society premises, Jogendra Nagar, Agartala on Saturday (25th May, 2024).
“Kazi Nazrul Islam was a poet, singer, philosopher and patriot. Thoughts of rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam are relevant even today. He has done many things for the welfare of the society. Kazi Nazrul Islam’s song of victory for humanity needs to be presented to the present generation.” Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said at the Unveiling ceremony of statue of Kazi Nazrul Islam today.
In today’s the Unveiling ceremony of statue of Kazi Nazrul Islam apart from the Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder, Advocate General Siddhartha Shankar Dey and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
