Agartala, Tripura, 27th of April 2026 : The ICFAI University Tripura released the prospectuses for a total of 59 professional programmes for the academic year 2026–27 across diverse fields, including Engineering, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, Basic Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), English, Allied Health Sciences, Nursing, Management, Economics, Commerce, Law, Education, Special Education, Physical Education & Yoga, Psychology, and Clinical Psychology. The announcement was made during a press meet held at the Agartala Press Club on the evening of 26th April 2026.
The press conference was addressed by Prof. (Dr.) Biplab Halder, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University, in the presence of other dignitaries, including Dr. A. Ranganath, Registrar; Dr. P. Rana Borthakur, Dean, Faculty of Science & Technology; Dr. Mousumi Biswas, Principal, Faculty of Liberal Arts; and Mr. Sujit Sutradhar, Deputy Manager (IT), among others.
While addressing the media, Prof. (Dr.) Biplab Halder informed that the University is planning to introduce Nine new professional programmes for the academic session 2026–27 to benefit students. These includes 5 undergraduate programmes like Bachelor of Optometry, B.Sc.Nursing, B.Sc. Clinical Psychology (Hons.), B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, B.Pharm, 1 postgraduate programme in Master of Dialysis Therapy Technology, 1 Diploma program D.Pharm, 2 certificate Programs in French and Hindusthani Classical Music.
He further highlighted that the University has successfully completed 22 years of excellence in providing professional education since its establishment in June 2004. The University has maintained a strong placement record through campus recruitment drives conducted by reputed national and multinational companies.
A total of 3,496 students have benefited from scholarships amounting to ₹12,74,83,650 during the academic years 2024–25 and 2025–26. These include various State and Central Government scholarship schemes, along with the University’s own N. J. Yasaswy Memorial Merit Scholarship.
The University is currently undertaken the second phase of its campus expansion, aimed at developing state-of-the-art academic infrastructure to accommodate an additional 10,000 students. This expansion includes the construction of 100 modern classrooms, advanced computer laboratories, and dedicated faculty spaces, all housed within a fully air-conditioned facility.The campus is equipped with a 2.5 Gbps Wi-Fi 6-enabled network, ensuring high-speed connectivity and seamless digital access. It also features smart classrooms and modern learning facilities, creating an ideal environment for professional education. Notably, the campus has been recognized by Jio as a True 5G-enabled campus, making it one of the most technologically advanced campuses in the state.
