Agartala, Tripura, 5th of March 2025 : The 38th Convocation function of IGNOU one of the world’s largest University in Open and Distance Learning was held on 5th March 2025 at Town Hall, Agartala. Professor Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra, Director Central Sanskrit University attended the Regional Convocation function at Agartala as the Guest of Honor anddelivered the convocation address. The convocation function was attended by host of Special invitees, dignitaries, renowned educationist of Tripura and all IGNOU Coordinators, Assistant Coordinators and other functionaries of the IGNOU Learner Support Centres.
Dr. Biswajit Bhowmik, Sr. Regional Director in his convocation addressee stated that this time 1481students of Tripura under IGNOU Regional Centre, Agartala who have successfully completed their courses during December 2023 and June 2024 Term End Exam received their degrees in the convocation. Out of the total 1481eligible students, 294students received their degrees in the convocation function and rest in absentia. The 38thconvocation was held simultaneously in all the 39 Regional Centres of IGNOU spread in different states of the country and in IGNOU HQ, New Delhi. The Convocation function at IGNOU HQ, New Delhi witnessed the gracious presence of Hon’ble Minister of Education, Government of India Sri Dharmendra Pradhan as Chief Guest and delivered the convocation addressed through virtual mode.
