Inauguration Ceremony Of  ‘Jagriti 2025′ 2nd Phase At Kumarghat.

Kumarghat, Tripura, 18th of January, 2025 :  With The Initiative of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Transport Departments  Government Of Tripura “Jagriti 2025‘ 2nd Phase has been organized at the Gitanjali Auditorium, Kumarghat on Saturday (18th January, 2025). In the presence of dignitaries Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury has inaugurated the Jagriti 2025 2nd Phase by Lighting the lamp.

“The Jagriti 2025 program has been started in the state to create Road safety, Consumer protection and a drug-free society. With this aim, an inter-college quiz competition has been organized to raise awareness on road safety, consumer protection and building a drug-free society.” Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury said at the inauguration ceremony of Jagriti 2025 2nd Phase event.  The Transport Minister also added that the three topics on which the quiz competition has been organized are related to the lives of each of us. If awareness is raised among the public about these topics, the society will benefit. It is to be noted that students from 14 colleges of North Tripura, Unakoti & Dhalai Districts participated in this quiz competition under the initiative of the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Transport Department.

The Jagriti-2025 program has been launched with the aim of road safety, consumer protection and drug-free society. This program is organized by the Food, Public Procurement and Consumer Affairs and Transport Departments in collaboration with the Higher Education Department of the State Government. The Second phase of the program was organized today with colleges of North Tripura, Unakoti & Dhalai Districts. A mega quiz competition was held on the occasion. The Mega Quiz Competition has been held with great enthusiasm and excitement.

The Quiz masters include leading Educationist Abhijit Bhattacharjee (Chairman and Principal of School Of Science), Nandu Panicker, Madhuja Debnath and  Subhrajit Bhattacharjee. The Mega Quiz Competition has been held with great enthusiasm and excitement. The event was hosted by Subhasis Kar.

Nishant Biswas and Jyoti Majumdar of Kumarghat Teacher Training College secured the first position, Tushar Das and Prithiraj Acharjee of Aryabhatt International University , Dharmanagar secured the second position, Itu Dewan and Jayashree Sarkar of Longtarai Valley Government College secured the third place. The winners will participate in the state-level competition. Two winners were given smart TVs as the first prize, two winners were given mobile phones as the second prize, and two winners were given smart watches as the third prize. In addition, attractive prizes were given to the audience through an open quiz. A total of 300 helmets were given free of cost, 100 each among the college students in each district.

Additional Secretary of the Transport Department, Subrata Chowdhury delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Students from various colleges of North Tripura, Unakoti & Dhalai Districts districts participated in the mega quiz competition. Amidst the distinguished participants there were Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das, Hon’ble Industries & Commerce, Jail (Home), OBC Welfare Minister Santana Chakma, MLA and former Minister Bhagaban Das,  Director of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Sumit Lodh and many others dignitaries were remained present in the event.
