Agartala, Tripura, 17th of September, 2025 : With the initiative of Health and Family Welfare Department Government of Tripura launching ceremony to marks on “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” today, organized in collaboration with Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital at AGMC College campus, Agartala, Tripura on Wednesday (17th September, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha launched the event today.
Addressing at the event Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that one of the goals of the current Government is women’s safety. Various steps have already been taken keeping in mind the issue of women’s safety.
Chief Minister Dr. Saha said, the first person in the family is the mother of that family. If the mother has health problems, it affects the entire family. Therefore, the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan campaign has been launched to keep the mother, i.e. the female power, healthy and disease-free.
Chief Minister also added that Healthy mothers mean healthy families. A strong social system is built through healthy families. He said, women are affected by various diseases without their knowledge. Through the campaign that has been launched today, women will be able to identify the diseases that are stuck in their bodies. As a result, it will be possible to easily bring them under treatment. He said, “A new horizon has begun today in the country’s maternity and public health welfare. The Chief Minister wished the overall success of this campaign.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder, Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha, Secretary Urban Development Abhishek Singh, Secretary of the Social Welfare and Social Education Department Tapas Roy and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the event.
Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” today, marking a historic step towards strengthening healthcare and nutrition services for women, adolescent girls, and children across India. The Ministry of Railways, as a partner ministry, is contributing to the initiative jointly led by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the Ministry of Women & Child Development.
