Initiative For Modern Children’s Park And Lakefront Development In Chandrapur, MLA And Administrative Officials Conduct Site Visit.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 10th of May 2026 : A special inspection was conducted on Saturday (9th May, 2026) morning in the Chandrapur area of Dharmanagar town in North Tripura with the aim of developing a modern children’s park and beautifying the local pond along with its surrounding areas.

The visit was led by newly elected MLA Jahar Chakraborty and accompanied by municipal officials, Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Debjani Chowdhury, and several other dignitaries.According to Jahar Chakraborty, the initiative has been undertaken not only for the overall development of the town but also to create a healthy recreational environment for children and the general public. He stated that the administration has planned to transform the long-neglected pond and adjoining areas into a modern and attractive public space.

During the inspection, the concerned officials reviewed the current condition of the site and discussed in detail the possible development works that could be implemented. Sources informed that the proposed project includes modern play equipment for children, seating arrangements, decorative lighting, walking paths, greenery, beautification around the pond, and even boating facilities in the waterbody.The newly elected MLA further stated that several developmental projects have been planned to make Dharmanagar town more beautiful and livable. He emphasized that such initiatives are being taken keeping in mind the needs of children and the common people. He also assured that work would begin soon in coordination with various government departments. Prominent personalities present during the visit welcomed the initiative.

According to them, once the modernization of the park and pond is completed, it will not only enhance the beauty of the Chandrapur area but also emerge as an attractive recreational destination for children and residents alike.
