On 18th February, 2023 night at about 2300 hrs/ 2330 hrs a dispute took place between two neighbours namely Dilip Sukla Das (50) S/O Lt. Tukan Sukla Das and Krishna Kamal Das (48) S/O Lt. Harihar Das along with some others at Dwarikapur under Kalyanpur PS, Khowai District. During the scuffling said Dilip Sukla Das (50) received injuries on his persons. Police responded immediately and arranged to send the victim to Khowai District Hospital. Subsequently, he was referred to GBP Hospital, Agartala on the same night, where he succumbed to injuries during treatment.
In this incident the principal accused namely Krishna Kamal Das (48) has been detained by Kalyanpur Police station. Prima facie it is a case of personal enmity. Raids are continuing to arrest other accused persons.
