Dharmanagar, Tripura, 20th of July 2026 : The final of the DCL Champions League, one of North Tripura’s most popular football tournaments, was held on Saturday (18th July, 2026) in a festive atmosphere in Dharmanagar. The thrilling final saw two strong teams—TDN and Maria Enterprise—compete for the championship.
After a fiercely contested match ended without a winner in regulation time, the title was decided through a penalty shootout. Maria Enterprise emerged victorious in the penalties, securing the championship title.
MLA of Dharmanagar Jahar Chakraborty attended the final match to encourage the players. Following the match, he presented the championship trophy and prizes to the winning team and congratulated Maria Enterprise on their impressive victory. He also praised the organizers for successfully conducting the tournament and emphasized the importance of organizing similar sporting events in the future.
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Bagbassa MLA Yadav Lal Nath, noted social worker Kajal Das, Dharmanagar Municipal Council Chairperson Mitali Rani Das Sen, along with several other distinguished guests.
A large number of football enthusiasts were present at the venue, creating an energetic and vibrant atmosphere throughout the final.
With the successful conclusion of the DCL Champions League, excitement among sports lovers has grown significantly. The organizers stated that they plan to host the tournament on an even larger scale next year.
