Dharmanagar, Tripura, 22nd of May 2026 : Dharmanagar District Hospital in North Tripura has recently become one of the most discussed issues in the district. A series of complaints regarding healthcare services, infrastructure, and patient care at the hospital had raised concerns among the public. For a long time, conscious citizens of Dharmanagar had been demanding overall improvement of the hospital. Amid this situation, the surprise visit of Dharmanagar MLA Jahar Chakraborty on Friday has sparked new hope among the people.

On Friday morning, the MLA visited different wards of the district hospital, including the emergency department, patient service sections, and the overall hospital environment. He also interacted with patients and listened to their grievances. During the inspection, he was accompanied by North District Chief Medical Officer Dr. Dipak Halder, Medical Superintendent Bhaskar Das, along with several doctors and healthcare staff.
After inspecting various departments, the MLA took detailed information regarding the current condition of healthcare services at the hospital. He also discussed the recently raised complaints with the concerned officials.Special emphasis was given on improving hospital infrastructure, addressing the shortage of doctors and healthcare workers, maintaining cleanliness, and enhancing patient care services.
After the visit interacted with media Jahar Chakraborty stated that Tripura Chief Minister and Health Minister Manik Saha is giving special importance to the overall development of every hospital in the state. Keeping that goal in mind, necessary plans will be taken in the coming days for the development of Dharmanagar District Hospital.At present, the people of Dharmanagar are closely watching whether this sudden visit by the MLA will lead to practical solutions to the hospital’s long-standing problems and whether citizens will finally receive improved healthcare services.
