Dharmanagar, Tripura, 30h of June 2026 : The mysterious death of a health worker in Dharmanagar, North Tripura, has created widespread concern in the area. The deceased has been identified as Hasan Ali (45), a resident of South Kadamtala and an employee of the Brajendranagar Primary Health Centre.
According to police and family sources, Hasan Ali was seriously injured while returning home after completing his duties at the health centre on Tuesday. He was initially taken to the Brajendranagar Primary Health Centre for treatment. Following preliminary medical care, he was referred to Dharmanagar District Hospital for advanced treatment, where the attending doctors declared him dead.Although the incident was initially suspected to be a road accident, the exact circumstances under which he sustained the injuries remain unclear. Police reached the scene after receiving information and have launched an investigation, examining every possible angle.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s family has rejected the accident theory. They have alleged that Hasan Ali was the victim of a planned murder and claim that an attempt is being made to portray the incident as a road accident. The family has demanded a fair and impartial investigation to uncover the truth, along with the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those responsible.
Hospital authorities stated that the body will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem examination is completed. Police officials said that the actual cause of death will be determined based on the post-mortem report, forensic findings, and other evidence collected during the investigation, after which appropriate legal action will be taken.
