Dharmanagar, Tripura, 7th of May 2026 : The atmosphere of grief and tension continues to prevail in political and social circles over the unnatural death of Rahul Kishore Roy, BJP juva Morcha Mandal President of Dharmanagar and Councillor of Ward No. 5 of Dharmanagar Municipal Council. On Thursday morning, newly elected MLA of Dharmanagar, Jahar Chakraborty visited Rahul Kishore Roy’s residence and met the bereaved family members.
Accompanying him were BJP North District President Kajal Das, Councillor Nabaneeta Acharya, and several local BJP leaders. MLA Jahar Chakraborty spent considerable time speaking with the family, expressing his condolences and enquiring about their current condition. He also assured them of his moral support during this difficult time.
Later, while addressing the media, Jahar Chakraborty described Rahul Kishore Roy’s death as “deeply tragic and heartbreaking.” He stated that strict action would be taken against the real culprits involved in the incident and urged the administration to conduct a fair and impartial investigation to uncover the truth.He further said, “Rahul Kishore Roy was an active and popular party worker. His untimely death is not only a huge loss for his family but also for the entire organisation. The BJP stands firmly beside the grieving family and will continue to extend all possible help and support in the future.”The incident has continued to create tension in the area, with many local residents demanding a fair investigation and swift punishment for those responsible. Meanwhile, political circles are closely watching the role of the administration in uncovering the actual cause behind Rahul Kishore Roy’s death.
