Agartala, 6th of December 2023 : The 68th Death Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, a renowned Educationalist of International Repute and Architect of our Indian Constitution is observed at the premises of Ujjayanta Palace (Tripura State Museum), Agartala on Wednesday (6th December, 2023).
Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has paid homage to Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on his Death Anniversary. The Chief Minister interacted with media said, Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar worked for Dalit, backward classes and castes of the country all his life. He was a writer, eloquent orator, shrewd politician, and multi-talented. The work he has done for the welfare of backward class and Dalit people of the country is relevant even today. The Chief Minister also added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi also Dr. Ambedkar’s thoughts, opinions and moving forward. The Prime Minister has taken various projects to improve the socio-economic status of the backward classes and the last people of the society. The Schedule Caste Welfare Department has also undertaken various programmes for the overall development of Schedule Caste communities in the state.
Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das, Chief Secretary J. K. Sinha, B.S Mishra, Principal Secretary of SC Welfare Department, Asim Saha, Director of SC Welfare Department and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
