Offer Distribution Programme Of Appointment Among The Qualified Candidates Selected Through TPSC.

Agartala, Tripura, 21st of May, 2025 : With the initiative of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism, Government of Tripura,  Offer Distribution Programme has been organized at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, Tripura on Wednesday (21st May, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism, Government of Tripura also conducted Voluntary Blood Donation Camp today. The Chief Minister and Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister visited the blood donation camp and encouraged the blood donors.

Distribution programme of offer of appointment among the qualified candidates selected through Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) for the post of Food Inspector, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department Government of Tripura Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and  Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury distributed offer of appointment among the qualified candidates selected through TPSC.

Addressing at the Offer Distribution ceremony Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Government jobs are being provided in the state by formulating a transparent recruitment policy. Today, all those who are joining government jobs have got the job due to their talent and hard work. No one can say that the job recipients got this job for an influential or powerful person. The Chief Minister said on the occasion that the present State Government has laid special emphasis on quality and efficiency in the field of employment. Since this Government came to power by maintaining a transparent recruitment process, a total of 19,262 people, including die-in-harness, have been given Government jobs in various departments till today (May 21). Initiatives have been taken to fill the vacant posts along with creating new posts in various departments. Employment opportunities are being created for self-reliance. She said that in the last one year, 37 LDCs and 19 multi-tasking workers have been selected through JRBT and joined the Food Department. The Chief Minister also mentioned that initiatives have been taken to appoint 12 more Sub Inspectors, 3 Fumigation Assistants, 6 Storekeepers and 35 Store Guards in the Food Department.

“The employees of the Food Department at all levels are continuously making unremitting efforts to keep the public distribution system of the state functioning. To ensure food security of the people of the state, free rice is being continuously provided to 6.06 lakh priority households and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) families under the public distribution system. Subsidized rice is being provided to 3.83 lakh APL families. In addition, about 9 lakh 81 thousand ration card holders were distributed essential commodities including flour at subsidized prices. Since 2018, 2 lakh 25 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from the farmers of the state at the minimum support price. As a result, about 446 crore rupees have been directly paid to the bank accounts of the farmers as the minimum support price.”, Chief Minister added

Secretary of Transport Department, C. K. Chakma delivered the welcome address at the event.  Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Secretary of Tourism department Uttam Kumar Chakma, Special Secretary of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Debapriya Bardhan, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, , Special Secretary of Tourism department Subrata Chowdhury, Director of Tourism Prashant Badal. Negi, Director of Food, Civil supplies and Consumer Affairs Sumit Lodh  and many other dignitaries were present in the offer distribution  ceremony.
