Agartala, Tripura, 23rd of May, 2025 : With the initiative of Techno India University, Tripura (TIUT) was organized One day Workshop on “Anti-Ragging Awareness” Programme’ at University campus, Agartala Tripura on Thursday (22nd May, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar Saha inaugurated the event.

The main objective of the workshop was to create awareness about the harmful aspects of ragging and to take necessary steps to prevent it. The workshop generally discussed the definition of ragging, its types, and its effects.
Addressing at the inaugural programme of Anti-Ragging workshop, President of Agartala Press Club Pranab Sarkar discussed the impact of ragging in his speech. He also gave detailed information about what to do if victim of ragging, and how to file a complaint against ragging. He also said that he was happy that no incident of ragging has been heard or complaints have been filed in Techno India University Tripura so far. He feels proud about this as a member of the Anti-Ragging Committee of this university.

At the event, Sub-Inspector of Amtali Police Station Abhirup Das discussed the laws and regulations related to ragging. At the end of the workshop, Vice Chancellor of Techno India University, Tripura (TIUT) Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar Saha said that students are always made aware of ragging, and the main objective is to ensure that students do not become victims of ragging in this campus. The Vice Chancellor also added that through this workshop, the main goal of this institution is to increase awareness against ragging and create a safe and friendly environment.
