People Must Come Forward For Humanitarian Work Like Blood Donation : Chief Minister Of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha.

Agartala, Tripura, 10th of August, 2026 : Blood donation is a unique commitment to humanity. Such humanitarian initiatives further strengthen the spirit of empathy, responsibility, and service in society. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said this today while inaugurating a blood donation camp organised by Ward No. 20 of the Agartala Municipal Corporation at the Smriti Club premises. On the occasion, the Chief Minister extended heartfelt congratulations and good wishes to the organisers of the blood donation camp and to all those who came forward to voluntarily donate blood to save lives.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that in the interest of humanity, more people need to come forward to donate blood. He said that municipal wards, apart from providing civic services, are also carrying out such social work, for which he thanked them. He said that, as we all know, blood has no religion or caste, and through blood donation, the lives of critically ill patients can be saved.

During his address, the Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both the Central and State governments are working sincerely for the people. He said that many pumps have been installed for drainage of water in Agartala city, and more pumps will be installed. Efforts are being made to explore how technology can be used to carry out the work more quickly. As a result, water accumulated due to rain can now be cleared within about an hour.

Special guests present on the occasion included Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, Chairman of the Corporation’s Central Zone Ratna Dutta, along with other dignitaries. Following the blood donation camp, the Chief Minister formally launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. Along with this, the Chief Minister also unveiled the theme for this year’s Durga Puja at Smriti Club.
