Police Recovered Heroin.

Based on secret information Birganj PS officials recovered 8.9 grams of heroin from a smuggler named Bippi Debnath of Amarpur in Gomati Tripura. Sources said, police has raided Shankar Palli in Amarpur and after three hours continuous operation this huge amount of heroin has been recovered and arrested Bappi Debnath who is associated with this drug smuggling. Police officials said that they have got information in the house of Pintu Das in Shankar Palli area large amount of heroin is stored and some people are leading this drug business secretly and destroying the life of the local youth. Immediately the police officer came into action.

Devanjali Roy, SDPO of Birganj police station and PS OC Jayant Das including a  huge police force raided in Pintu Das’s house and started search operation. When Pintu Das realised the promptness of police he immediately escaped from that area and absconding. In the course of search operation police found 8.9 grams heroin and nabbed Bappi Debnath (30) who was a companion of Pintu Das. Police took the heroin to the police station. Afterwards police officers recovered 588 more vacant quotas from that place.  Police said, the seized heroin estimated market value is Rs. 25000. Public of the locality has appreciated the achievement of the police and appealed the PS authority to take strict action against drugs peddlers in the subdivision.
