Tripura Sports School celebrated the 24th Foundation Day at Tripura Sports School premises Badharghat, Agartala on Tuesday (1st August, 2023).
Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Labour Minister Tinku Roy has inaugurated the 24th Foundation Day programme of Tripura Sports School today.
“The State Government has taken up various schemes for the development of sports in the state. The Government hopes that the players will make the name of the state and the country shine by achieving fame in sports”, Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Minister Tinku Roy said at the 24th Foundation Day celebration ceremony of Tripura Sports School.
The Youth Affairs and Sports Minister said that the Government has given priority to the development of sports talent. The Government has taken initiatives to improve many field infrastructures in the state. 2 new youth hostels will be constructed at Unakoti and Udaipur. The Sports Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of the state Dr. Manik Saha are sincere in the development of sports. He said that sports not only keep the body and mind fresh, sports make the mind generous, economic and social development takes place. He said that Tripura Sports School has been doing well in academics and sports for the last three years. He expressed hope that the next year will give better results.
Deputy Director of Tripura Sports School Shantanu Sutradhar delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Director of Youth Affairs and Sports Department Satyabrata Nath also spoke on the occasion. The Youth Affairs & Sports minister planted a sapling in the school premises. School childrens have presented attractive cultural programmes like dance to beautify the ceremony. Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports Minister Tinku Roy along with other guests 45 awarded for their achievements in various sports competitions and studies during the academic year 2022-23. MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Manika Das Datta and many other dignitaries were present in the foundation day celebration ceremony.
