Power Employees Follow Necessary Safety Rules, Protect Yourself : Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath.

Agartala, 6th of March 2024 : With the initiative of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd. (TSECL) celebrated First Lineman Diwas-2024 at Corporate office, TSECL, Banamalipur, Agartala on Wednesday (6th March 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Power, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Hon’ble Power, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath advised the power workers to follow safety rules. The Power Minister said that several power workers in the state have lost their lives prematurely due to non-compliance of electrical safety rules. Many suffered permanent paralysis. Injuries also occur regularly. Currently, an electricity worker is under treatment at GB Hospital. In order to save his life, doctors amputated one of his organs. But if you follow the necessary safety rules, you can definitely protect yourself from such a situation.

The power minister appealed to the power workers including linemen, helpers to keep themselves safe. According to him, electricity is a vital sector in the service sector. Even if other government departments are closed for a while or for a few days, there will not be much difficulty. But if the electricity service is stopped for a few minutes, then the state, the country will face huge losses. People will face great hardships. Cannot be treated in hospital. Production at the factory will stop. Common life will be endangered.

Amidst the other distinguished participants of the programme there were Abhishek Singh, Secretary, Power Department, Govt. of Tripura, Debashis Sarkar, Managing Director, TSECL, Sarvjit Singh Dogra Director (Finance), TSECL, Anil Khanna, Director (Technical), TPGL, Dr. Pradip Bhoumik and many others dignitaries were present in the programme.
