The Advisory Tournament Committee of TCA met today to act upon the report of Match Referee and Umpires pertinent to the incident of gross misconduct as happened in the J C Memorial League (2O19-2O) match between Sphulinga and JCC as played at PTA Ground, Narsingarh, on & from June 5-7, 2023. The erring players namely Shri Tushar Saha and Shri Bikram Debnath were asked in writing to appear before the Advisory Tournament Committee today and substantiate their stand. Shri Bikram Debnath appeared in person and accepted his guilt but ShriTushar Saha remained absent without any intimation.
The Advisory Tournament Committee of TCA duly considered the video footage of the incident besides separate report of Match Referee and Umpires. As per the recommendation of Advisory Tournament Committee, following decision has been taken, which will take immediate effect.
- Shri Tushar Saha is suspended from the remainders of ongoing J C League tournament to completion of 2023-24 season.
- Shri Bikram Debnath is suspended from the remainders of ongoing JC League tournament till the completion of 2022-23 season.
Above decision has already been communicated to all affiliated clubs of TCA.
