Press Conference Held In Dharmanagar On The Progress Of “Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan”,

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 26th of May 2026 : As part of the “Janjatiya Garima Utsav 2026” organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, a special press conference was held on Monday at 3 PM in the Video Conference Room of the District Magistrate’s Office in Dharmanagar to review the progress of the “Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan — Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle” campaign.

The press conference was attended by North District Magistrate Chandni Chandra along with various district administration officials and representatives from concerned departments.During the briefing, it was informed that this special campaign was conducted from May 18 to May 25 in villages covered under the PM-JANMAN and Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan initiatives.

The primary objective of the campaign is to increase awareness about government welfare schemes in remote and underdeveloped tribal- dominated areas and to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive government services and facilities directly at their doorsteps.Officials further stated that the campaign included awareness drives at the village level, public grievance hearings, delivery of benefits under various Government schemes, and administrative initiatives to address issues faced by tribal communities.

The administration also highlighted the active participation of field-level officials and the cooperation of local residents in making the campaign successful.According to the administration, the initiative is playing a significant role in ensuring the overall development of tribal communities and extending the benefits of government schemes to remote areas.The District Magistrate informed that a total of 123 campaign activities were conducted across North District. These camps were organized at 19 different locations under various subdivisions of the district.

The campaign began on May 19 in North Padmabil and Panisagar areas.As per official statistics, the highest number of campaign activities in North District was conducted in Damchhara, while the second-highest number was held in the Jampui Block area.The administration claimed that through this initiative, direct communication and coordination between the administration and tribal communities living in remote regions have been significantly strengthened.
