Agartala, Tripura, 1st December, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Monday (1st December, 2025). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested one (1) drug peddler from Agartala Railway Station and seized a total of 17.30 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja). He wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.
According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala at about 7 PM we managed to catch one minor boy namely Akash Debbarma (17), S/O- Sri Ranjit Debbarma of Kutna, West Chandpur, PS- Sidhai, Dist:- West Tripura along with total 17.340 Kg purported to be contraband Ganja in his trolley bag. The value of this Ganja is Rs- 2.5 Lakh approx in black market. Railway Police apprehended him from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the contraband Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP112, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against him.
