Amarpur, Tripura, 4th of June 2025 : With the initiative of Tribal Research & Cultural Institute and Sub-Divisional Welfare Office of Amarpur an indigenous cultural motivational event namely Tribal Folk Dance and Folk Song competition under Ompi RD block has been organized here in Ampi Nagar community hall in Gomati Tripura today.
On this occasion many dignitaries and local villagers have assembled here in the programme venue and took participation in this Information, Education and Communication promotion programme. In presence of many distinguished dignitaries Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has inaugurated the event.To commemorate janajatiya gourav diwas the event has influenced amidst the present programme participants. The event dignitaries have highlighted over the meaning and significance of IEC campaign & awareness on Dharti Aaba Janajatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan and PM Janman issue. Aiming to protect and promote indigenous heritage, culture and traditional properties discussion has been conducted. Indigenous cultural teams have presented appreciable cultural presentations. To inspire the indigenous artist participants the concerned authority has provided gifts & prizes to them.
Amidst the main programme dignitaries there were Sindhu Chandra Jamatia, Ampi BAC chairman, Pamir Karmakar, SDWO, Amarpur, Deb Sadhan Jamatia, social activist, Sukendu Kalai, social activist, Vinkar Chakraborty, social activist, Birodhan Noatia, TMP leader and many others remained present in the programme.
