Agartala, Tripura, 3rd of July, 2026 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station Thursday (2nd July, 2026). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested one (1) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized total 99 nos. ESkuf cough syrup.
According to sources, on 2nd July, 2026 at 1710 hrs we managed to catch one person namely Ritu Kumar S/O Genauri Tanti of Bajitpur Ps- Wana Bihar with one bag at Agartala Railway Station on PF no-01. During search , total 99 nos Eskuf Bottle was recovered and seized the same from the possession of detained person. Accordingly Railway Police arrested him .
Accordingly Railway Police have detained him and seized the contraband ESkuf cough syrup. The value of this ESkuf cough syrup is Rs- 2 Lakh approx in the black market. A specific case has been regd vide AGT GRPS Case no- 2026/GRP/043 Dated- 02/07/2026 U/S -21(C)/29 of NDPS act.
Interacted with media Inspector Raju Bhowmik, Officer in Charge Agartala Railway Police Station gave details about this. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
